Dress Up Ellwood

Welcome to Dress Up Ellwood!
Ground Zero Ministries hosts a free formal dress event in Ellwood City, PA every March. Please check back for more information about Dress Up Ellwood 2027!
It’s our mission to ensure that all students in the Ellwood City, Riverside and surrounding districts have the opportunity to attend their proms with confidence and style and without financial restraints.
We will continue to seek donations throughout the year and hope that you’ll partner with us to help all of our students look and feel their best and have the best experience possible at their proms. You can support us in three ways:
DRESS / FORMAL WEAR DONATIONS
We will gladly take donations of new or gently used prom dresses. Formal full length gowns specifically designed for prom wear are what we need. We greatly appreciate everyone’s generosity but we are humbly asking that you do not donate any of the following:
- Bridesmaid Dresses
- Dance Costumes
- Wedding Dresses
- Mother of the Bride Attire
- Full length dresses that would not be considered prom apparel
Donating these items will only cause us more work because these will need to be sorted out and donated or disposed of because we cannot use them.
We will also except donations of shoes, jewelry and accessories (bags etc) of all sizes and styles.

MONETARY DONATIONS
You can make a tax deductible monetary donations using the ‘Donate to Event’ button below. Please select the ‘Dress Up Ellwood’ funding option in the funding dropdown menu. These funds will be used to offset the cost of any cleaning or repair of donated items and will be also be used for our Prom Scholarship Fund, which will help offset the cost of Prom tickets for students in need.
DRESS UP ELLWOOD EVENT
The Dress Up Ellwood event will take in March of 2027 in Ellwood City, PA.
Registration will open January 16th. It is highly recommended that you register for this event and the form will be available below when registration opens. You must be a high school student in Beaver, Butler, Lawrence or Mercer Counties to participate and you will be asked to present your student ID at the door in order.
SERVICE / GOODS DONATIONS
You can also donate your time, talents or products and services to help us with this event.
This can in the form of services or products on the weekend of our event including:
- Seamstress services
- General volunteers
- Coupons for hair, nails or flowers discounts to be given out
- Gift Certificates for any type of services or products that can be placed in gift baskets for a raffle
